This Privacy Policy explains how CancelM LLC ("CancelM", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit cancelm.com or use our cancellation service in Canada.

1. Who is responsible

2. Information we collect

• Order information: your name, postal address, email address, the company you want to cancel, optional contract, customer or account numbers, desired cancellation date, reason for cancellation and your typed signature name.
• Payment information: processed directly by Stripe. We receive only limited details (such as card brand, last four digits, billing postal code and payment status), never your full card number.
• Communications: messages you send us via email, our contact form or voicemail.
• Usage and device data: pages visited, referring ad or link (including ad click identifiers), browser type, device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie identifiers.

3. How we use your information

• To create, print and mail your cancellation letter.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions, including renewals.
• To send order confirmations, status updates and service messages.
• To respond to support requests.
• To prevent fraud, duplicate payments and misuse of our service.
• To measure and improve our website and advertising.
• To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to provide our service:

• The company you are cancelling (it receives your letter).
• Print and mail partners (such as PostGrid and Pingen) who print and post the letter.
• Stripe, our payment processor.
• Hosting, database and email delivery providers that operate our website.
• Advertising and analytics partners (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising) for conversion measurement, as described in section 6.
• Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

5. International transfers

CancelM is based in the United States, and some of our service providers process data in other countries. Where your information is transferred outside Canada, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.

6. Cookies and advertising

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and process orders. We also use Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (UET) tags to measure which ads lead to visits and purchases. These may set cookies and process ad click identifiers and device information. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings and Microsoft ad settings, and use your browser's Global Privacy Control signal where supported.

7. Retention

We keep order and payment records as long as needed to provide the service, handle questions or disputes, and meet legal and tax retention requirements (generally up to 7 years). Support messages are kept as long as needed to resolve your request.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable service providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and opt out of marketing or advertising measurement, by emailing support@cancelm.com. We will respond within the time required by law and may need to verify your identity.

We handle your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. You may withdraw your consent to non-essential processing at any time, and you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
